Apelles Poh

Apelles Poh is a Certified Financial PlannerCM, who also holds a Master in Financial Planning, and has achieved the coveted Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) qualification for the past 14 consecutive years, with the last four years as Court of the Table (representing the world’s top 1 percent of insurance and financial practitioners). Based on his consistent past performance, contribution and excellence in practice in the field of financial planning, he was awarded the inaugural Singapore Financial Adviser Representative of the Year 2004 by the Asia Financial Planning Journal.

Apelles Poh is past president of the IFPAS Toastmasters Club, and has competed and emerged as the Pan South East Asia 1st Runner-Up in the 2001 International Toastmaster Speech Contest, comprising top speakers from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Thailand. He has been featured in The Straits Times, Business Times, Berita Minggu, Fundsupermart, Asia Financial Planning Journal, and Smart Investor Magazine. He has also appeared live on “The Living Room” on News Radio FM93.8, to talk about Personal and Family Financial Planning.

Despite his heavy schedule, Apelles has also been actively engaged in training (he often comes armed with a guitar) and coaching for the past two decades. His thought-provoking teaching has been enthusiastically received, and he is a sought-after speaker in Singapore and in the region. He lives life with a zest and believes that “we should not just fill our lives with days, but fill our days with life.”

Apelles Poh runs a successful financial planning practice with Professional Investment Advisory Services Pte Ltd, one of the largest financial advisory firms in Singapore.
